My mom just gave me this devotional book. It is amazing. I have really been struggling with pride lately and we did a devotion on pride. It really spoke to me and the kids.

We have included Catching Fireflies as a part of our childrens ministry curriculum for ten months. Our ministry includes children ages two to twelve. I love that the word is made alive in each lesson and the children remember the lessons because of the incredibly creative and practical way Marcy gives tangible associations in parables they love and enjoy

The family Bible studies Marcy has created are fun, delightful, and full of lively activities and discussions. Always filled with practical ideas and real life activities, the scripture comes alive. I have used these devotions for small groups, school chapels, and children's church, just changing a few of the details to fit the specific situation. Each week I look forward to the new lesson. Marcy has done a fabulous job.

My family and I have been using Marcy's devotionals for several years now. We have enjoyed them immensely, and they have enriched our spiritual life as a family. Rarely can you find a devotional book that so effectively ministers to the entire family, from the youngest to oldest member. Each lesson is fresh, anointed and relevant for today. Marcy truly has a gift for imparting deep spiritual truths in a very practical and simple way. I highly recommend her devotional book to families of all sizes and ages. You are sure to be blessed.

The devotionals Marcy has written are fun, practical and hands on! The kids in my discipleship group get involved in preparing the "stuff" needed to carry out the lesson, and then sit mesmerized and attentive. Whether passing around a candle to smell or tasting popcorn, the kids use all their senses to interact with biblical principles. At Casa Bernabe, we've used the lessons in a very large group setting as well as in smaller groups of just 12 kids. Some of the lessons have had ongoing impact for the kids as we reference key words to remind them of the lessons (like: "remember the mug?"). Not all the lessons work in Spanish, what with colloquial sayings and plays on words, but there is no loss as even those impact me and challenge me as I read the weekly bible studies and figure out if I can and how to make them work in Spanish and in our setting. Marcy has put her God-given talents of creativity and working with kids to use to bless so many. I'm excited that she has finally gotten them in book form. I'm just waiting for the Spanish version to come out. There is such a need for this type of family devotional and she has set it up to be an easy to prepare, yet impacting and fun bible study for families. Thanks Marcy for letting God use you to inspire families to read and study the bible together, and have fun doing it!
