Here are a few examples of the types of devotions/activities you will find in the book:
Oh What a Tangled Web (as the story is read, string is pulled and twisted around the room when lies/deceit are practiced, until it's a tangled mess!)
Popping (as we make popcorn, adding the oil, the salt, learning about the kernels of corn, we compare it all to "popping" for God, being full of his spirit and living in joy.)
What's bugging You? (HIdden "bugs" are taped underneath leaves of plants and sought out, to find out what "bugs" us, and how to get rid of our irritations).
Swept Under the Rug (All sorts of things are hidden under rugs thoughout the house and we hunt for them to reveal things we might have hidden, as well.)
How to Deal (we look at different hands of cards and compare them to the hand we've been dealt in life).
These Shoes are Made for Walking (we gather all different styles of shoes from our closet and go over each one, its purpose and where it is to be worn, comparing it to the different callings and places we may go for God.)
Fruits of the Spirit (we eat strawberries, grapes, cantaloupe, etc. comparing each one to the fruits of love, joy, peace...)
Eggsactly (we prepare different kinds of eggs, comparing them to our diferent kinds of friends, and then we taste each one!)
Bound or Free (we use toilet paper to wind up and cover us, as we become bound up by sin, and then Jesus comes and sets us free!).
EACH STUDY TELLS YOU WHAT YOU NEED AND HOW TO PREPARE. EACH ONE INVOLVES HANDS-ON LEARNING AND SCRIPTURES TO READ, SO THAT WE HEAR, TOUCH, SEE AND EVEN SOMETIMES TASTE AND SMELL THE WORD OF GOD, EXPERIENCING HIM WITH ALL OF OUR SENSES, MAKING HIS WORD COME ALIVE IN OUR HEART.
